it seems that we had some springs in wrong,which we are told could have caused us to give up some forward bite.we had always had to run about 2 steps deeper gear to get to the same rpm as others with similar cars.the question is since fixing the spring deal,do you think we pickup any rpm or are we trying to put too much into this idea. thank you for your help

Sometimes this can be a car related deal, especially if your car is a little heavy. The only thing you can do to overcome the problem is go to a steeper gear.
