Jammin, thanks for the work to seek out someone to send these pics to this site for all of us to look over and discuss......
EVERYONE wanted to see this, now that it's here NOBODY wants to comment......go figure

I don't understand how this lets the rear housing travel without bind, 2 forward links, 1 rear link ALL on different angle, all different lengths........I'm not very sharp some times........I can see how the timing of the bird cage changing would effect rear transfer........but I don't understand how this thing doesn't bind???
That's my question just to get some discussion started here on this subject.....
And just from what Jerry described for a fulcrum even a guy like me can understand these are totally different things.....Jeff

Jammin, Thanks...I think...and I really thought Jerry had me thinking.
Jeff, It appears to me, as long as the birdcages are free to rotate that it wouldn't bind. Not sure about that though. It looks like LR swingarm is clamped up and RR swingarm is floated. Not sure I understand everything I see here!!!

4ord, Are these the same pics I was looking at before???? I must have been welding without the helmet again, I would have needed to be blind not to see the swing arms were not on the same bird cage....now I understand how it works, as the pinion angle changes under throttle input the rear housing is rotating on the rear mount of the swing arm...........NOW the rest makes sense,
that other Carr that is posted now looks like there was some thought put into that one. I like the narrow cage, and a few other things.......Jeff

I am just a little confused. Looks like rr is floated 4 link to the front and not floated pull bar on rear.
The left looks not floated with 1 bar forward and one rear???? Can anyone clearify this?

This is what it looks like to me.
There are 3 links on each side.
"Reverse" Z-link on each side to control roll steer and plant rearend [with that much angle on links it should really PLANT]
Springs on swing-arms to hold weight of car.

Anyone else care to take a shot?

Somebody out there knows all about it, and is probably laughing their **** off about now.

Well your right they do plant hard. Both sides are fully floated .The left is floated off 2 birdcages and the right uses the same birdcage for all links. All the rod lengths are the same except for the ones going to the back. If I'm not mistaken the one on the left is about 5" shorter. They use a longer pull bar also ,at least not like the 20" one that I have. I would think this would help from the middle of turnoff.I was really impressed with the way they come off the corner. I am sure though that when I install the fulcrum system from EAGLE that I'll smoke them. Hopefully I'll know in 2 weeks. Ain't racing great!!!!!

Hey 49 I see that you are from Jacksonville. I assume that you will be at Milton and or east bay. Let me know, I sure would like to see the eagle set up.

Doowchuck,
I would like to go run Milton but if they are running imca rules then I'll just pass and go run Volusia for 8 nites. My car doesn't have the door bars plated and I'm not going to all that effort for one nite when UMP doen't require it. I have serious doubts about IMCA and there rules. I have been poped real hard in the door before on high speed half miles and I don't thing that a piece of .049 over the bars would make any difference. If the cage is fabed right. We are trying to build a big "hee hee" motor to run with the UMP boys but don't tell!!!
Well if you see the big white and purple machine with #49 come say hi.

WOW........Double WOW........Oh, ok I just looked at it again, mabey some one knows but is the lower swing arm supposed to be running straight out, or downhill??? I guess this is how it works.....I havn't even looked at the top link yet....Are all these links supposed to be the exact same length from hole to hole??? Man, there's some engineering going on there....lol..

I'll get to the Joe Carr chassis later...One thing I noticed right away...was the amount of PINION angle this thing appears to have...

i race agenst carr chassis all the time
they run 10 degrees of pinion angle and the cars are pretty fast good forward bite
only one problem all of the cars arnt the same each is a little diffrent and when u break somthing u have to wait for joe to fabricate a new one wich can be a lengthy process i race about an hour away from where carr is based so there are a few of them but ill stick with my harris
