What angle do you run on trailing arms on a z link or swing arm?

It will depend on the amount of forward bite that you need. The top arms need to stay level and change the angle of the lower arms to increase forward bite.

On the z-link, if I lowered the top part, shouldn't that give me forward bite too? By putting preload in the springer bar, does that take bite out?

The top bar on my car has no adjustment. It is fixed at a level position. All of the other cars I have looked at with type of suspension have been the same way. Adding preload on the torque link makes it react sooner to load inputs. Increasing the angle of the torque link adds forward bite, but it will also loose it sooner.

That would make sense though, you should be able to lower the upper link of the z-link to promote quicker forward bite to a point, then it would wheel hop
