WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST REAR SUSPENSION TO USE FOR A FIRST YEAR DRIVER IN MODS BETWEEN THE 3LINK OR SWINGARM? WHY WOULD ONE BE BETTER THAN THE OTHER? THANKS.

3 LINK is reliable consistent and hard to adj yourself out of the ballpark.

I would recommend using the three link, instead of the swing arm. I've had both (I am a new mod. racer) The Swing arm took more time to adjust. A move in the hole location on the chassis resulted in having to re-scale the car, to reset cross weight. Adjusting the lead in the rearend was also a lot of work. (I had to unload the spring then unhook the swing arm and then adjust.)The three link with pre fabbed mounts for all spring locations allows for more adjustments at the track. Anyway for me the three link is better.

SWING ARM!!! I HAVE RAN 3LINK AND SWING ARM.THE SWING ARM IS MORE HOOKED UP THAN A 3 LINK.I THINK THERE IS TO MUCH REAR STEER (BIULT IN 3 LINK) THEN SWING ARMS

i say 3 link for a beginner. swing arm may be a better setup, but he needs to learn the basics of how these cars handle before he goes 3 wheeling with swing arms. i see nothing wrong with a little roll steer with 3 link. helps keep the car free through the turns. just my thoughts.

I agree w/ racer 77, I too switched from a swingarm set-up to a 3-link. Seems to be easier to work with.

a three link is the way to go. a swing arm car is a huge pain in the a** to set up and keep up. when i get another car IT WILL BE A THREE LINK!!

We never did really understand our three-link, but I think that it was different from most as when I described things no one seemed to understand.

We have a z-link now and really like it.

I would have to say 3 link
i went through my rookie season last year and the 3 link was more forgiving and easier to drive the swingarm is an inherintly tighter car and needs to be driven more aggressivley not good if its yer first time behind the wheel

i ran my rookie year with great sucess with a car running a stacked leaf on the left and a z-link on the right....hard to miss the set-up and lots of bite....no 3-wheeling though
