The experts recommend that you measure from the grease zerks in your front lower ball joints. I did that the first time and verified my frame rail that holds my leaf front mounts are equal distance (square) from the zerks and my vertical bars just aft of the rear end are eqaul distance also so I just use some dial calipers off of them and I only have to measure about two inches. It makes it quick and easy I can pretty much eyeball it for a quick check.

Checking your rearend by dropping a plumb bob from the lower balljoint zerk fitting is the best way. You can make it easier if you take an old zerk fitting, punch out the small ball bearing, then cut a small notch in it. Then, feed your string through the hole. When you ***** it into the ball joint, you will be able pull it through the slot you cut to adjust it up and down. Sounds complicated, but it's not. Give it a try. If you want to buy some already done, you can contact Victory Circle Race Cars in Bakersfield, CA. I think they have a website. They sell a kit they call "Zerko-bobs". Hope this helps.

If your frame is square, I perfer to string the car off the frame, set the rear end straight, make marks or tabs on chassis for easy lead adjustments at track if needed.
