I belive it means; a complete car ready to get in and drive, that was all built "in house" by the manufacturer.

The way I see it a house car is one set up and maintained by the chassis builder and driven by a driver chossen by the chassis builder that has all the tricks in it that yours don't have.

a "HOUSE CAR" refers to a chassis that the builder used himself.........drove himself or hired a drive to wheel the car..........
this is done all the time to try different set-ups or suspension designs.
It's a car the builder used for research and development........it more than likely has extra mounts welded in some where......after they learned all they could with that chassis they sold it.............to build another one.........with only the mounts they planned on useing on the NEW CARS.
A HOUSE CAR IS NOTHING MORE THAN A USED CAR..
IT WAS USED BY THE BUILDER..........
