The car goes in the turns pretty loose, and is tight coming off...ok through the corner....just entry and exit problems....

What do you look at changing to make it better?

We had that problem with the staggered rear springs, I never could get it to work for me. I moved the RR spring on top of the rear end, and went to a 4" offset on the RR, that helped on entry, then for exit the car wasn't as tight anymore because the RR spring wasn't trying to load the left. I did increase the left rear weight, it's been working.

Do you have alot of lr wedge in the car??? Jammin. If so this could be your problem. I had this problem cause someone told me to put lr in it too tighten the car up. I did, the more I put in the looser the car got. Weird. Anyway now I run a minimal amount of lr. Better for me, and my car. Also like rooster said the staggerd spring deal can make a difference. The rr behind will loosen the car up alot on entry. Then you cant carry enough speed into the corner to generate good side bite with the rr. Just a couple of things I have encounterd, since I started running modifieds...

tell me a little about the current setup and track conditions. In general more wedge can loosen entry especially if you use alot of rear brake. Alot of loose entry can also be attributed to driving style and braking, but all this depends on the track. The staggered springs really shouldn't cause a loose entry condition because it effectivly de-wedges the car on entry, but on some tracks and conditions it will.

As always, the first thing to work on is the entry. You can't accurately diagnose and correct an exit problem until you get the entry right, because how you exit depends on how you got in.
I think Jammin' is giving a test here and the answer (assuming cross is close to 50%) is more RF spring.

Just .02 from a Pinto guy cuz there's no one home over there!
