I run a 410 and was wondering if there were many 434's out there. I know of 2 around here. However I haven't seen anything bigger then that.

A couple of years ago I seen this one goofy guy come too our track with a BIG block 455 pontiac. He thought he was really going too go fast.Instead he went straight too the back!lol. Most guys up here run the spec engine 362 or less with world heads. They are bringing out a ton of power. There are a few 388's and 406's yet they are claimable.

Their used to be a couple of guys who raced at one of our 3/8 mile tracks that ran Big Block Chevy 454 motors. They never really showed anybody nothin. I dont think the weight was that much of an issue, it's just that it takes twice as much money to get that big block to turn 8000 rpm. and stay together. Throttle control would also dictate how well you run also......

I've run 406...414...420...434's
theres no substitute, cubic inches=horse power id much rather lift my right foot a little...than be in a race and lose because I didn't have enough hp..(I've never been out horse powered though...out driven...yes..LOL)
