A few years back before I got into the IMCA Mod class, I ran a 1963 Pontiac 4 cylinder which is the right bank of a 389 Cu. In. this turns out to be a 195 CU. In. I used half a set of performance pistons from 389. This is about as wierd an engine as you will ever find.

A couple of years ago, I saw a straight 6, I guess it was a chevy...I didn't look close. It was in what they call here wing modified(skinny car)...I also seen a guy that runs a mod at 105 speedway that uses dodge power. He's fast too...Then in the stock class I race in there is a woman who races a ford powered car, well I think it's a ford...it had blue oval on front nose. Her and her husband both race...in the same class. In our bomer class you are subject to find anything. from v-6 to cadillac...lol. Hey I have question, does any of yall's tracks have cars where one guy steers and the other works the gas and brake or something like that?? We had one here but track closed and cars did too...it was hilarious...

I have see them, one steers and the other controls the stop and go functions...It looks like a lot of fun. I have seen train races while at Colorado National too. That was one of the best shows I have ever seen, I still laugh every time I think about it. Somewhere on one of these racing sites I have seen a track advertising for the two man sack race. It says the driver gets his direction from a co-pilot cause he can't see because of the grocery sack over his head. I would love to watch that!!!

How about the Chevy V-6 in the Dirt Works housecar last year during Speedweeks at Volusia. That thing sounded awesome. Saw a Hemi in a sprintcar back in the mid 80's at Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. It didn't win, but sure looked and sounded good. I remember a 6-cyl that kicked the V-8's on a regular basis at Lernerville Speedway for years, his name was Lou Gentile. It was a straight 6 at that!

Check this out Limited5. The chevy v-6's kicked so much a** around here that now when one of our nearby tracks has a BIG SHOW the flier for the race usually says at the bottom in small print, "NO V-6's" Oh well...

There is a mod in Indiana that runs a AMC motor (390 I think )and they run pretty good.

THey run Benton Co., Gas city and Bunker Hill all in Indiana.

We have a couple of fords and a dodge. The fords do ok. But the dodge has not done anything yet. To me it looks like dodge cost way to much.

I have raced a Mopar the last two years. Won five features the first year, six this year and second in points. Cost is almost the same and don't plan on changing......I like to win.

we have a little bit of everything-several fords in street and super street, a v-6 in modified, toyotas, mazdas, etc.,in mini stocks, and we also have the cars with the driver and gas man. The class is called cruisers here and a couple of them are nearly as fast as the street stocks. One is a Pontiac and the other a Ford.
