New I.M.C.A. Hobby Stock contingencies given by Engine Pro
VINTON, Iowa (May 16) – Engine Pro will up the ante for I.M.C.A. Hobby Stock drivers, awarding $800 in product or service certificates to eligible com-petitors in that division at the conclusion of the 2002 race season.
The Wheat Ridge, Colo.-based internal engine parts wholesaler group became a national sponsor for I.M.C.A.’s Modi-fied, Stock Car and Hobby Stock classes last year, and also became the newest National Modified decal program sponsor earlier this season.
New contingencies for the Hobby Stocks will be based on final national standings and dollar amounts will be the same for awards given in all seven of the Modified re-gions and in both Stock Car regions.
The top eligible driver will receive a $300 certifi-cate, with $200 for second and $100 for third. The 10th and 20th-place drivers both receive $50 certifi-cates.
Drivers in all three divi-sions must display two En-gine Pro decals on their race car and show proof of purchase from one of the 20,000-plus participating Engine Pro machine shops and engine builders.
“As the newest member of our Modified National Decal program, we are grateful Engine Pro is also increasing their involve-ment in other classes,” I.M.C.A. Marketing Direc-tor Kevin Yoder said. “As they did last season, Engine Pro will award complete claimer engine kits to the Modified, Stock Car and Hobby Stock drivers who pull the most motors in 2002. This program will again put thousands of dol-lars’ worth of parts and services into I.M.C.A. claimer motors at the end of the season.”
