Holley adds new Stock Car contingency awards
VINTON, Iowa (May 17) – An expanded Holley Performance Products contingency program will pay off for four more I.M.C.A. Sunoco Stock Car drivers this season.
Both the fifth and 10th place finishers in final point standings for the Northern and the Southern regions will receive Holley 350 cfm carburetors, as will regional champions and the national rookie of the year again.
Holley’s Stock Car contingencies complement a program that will see more than $8,000 in cash or product certificates awarded to I.M.C.A. Sunoco Modified drivers.
$350 will be awarded to the top eligible driver competing with the Holley HP carburetor in each of the seven Modi-fied re-gions, with $250 for sec-ond and $100 for third.
A $250-$150-$100 pay-out will be made for driv-ers using the Annihilator ignition system and laser shot coil.
Modified drivers must compete with Holley car-buretors or the Holley HP An-nihilator ignition system and laser shot coil, and re-turn a program sign-up form by Aug. 1 to be eligi-ble for contingen-cies.
Drivers in both classes must also win at least one heat race and display two Holley decals on their race cars.
The company is sponsor of the decals given to heat winners at all I.M.C.A.-sanctioned facilities this season.
Holley, headquartered in Bowling Green, Ky., manu-factures a variety of products for circle track racers, including complete ignition sys-tems, carbure-tors, intake manifolds, fuel pumps and individual components for each. Holley’s 350 cfm carburetor is re-quired for all I.M.C.A. Sunoco Stock Cars; the Holley-made HP An-nihi-lator ignition system and la-ser shot coil are the offi-cial ignition system of I.M.C.A.
“More carburetors will go out at the conclusion of the season to our I.M.C.A. Sunoco Stock Car drivers courtesy of Holley. In ad-dition, I.M.C.A. has dis-tributed Holley Heat Race winner decals for each of our Modified and Stock Car tracks this year,” I.M.C.A. Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “Drivers are being rewarded already, and only heat winners with decals will be eligible come season’s end.”
