Bushore resumes national awards program
for I.M.C.A. Sunoco Stock Car division
VINTON, Iowa (March 26) - Bushore Racing Enterprises will renew the national emphasis in its contingency awards program for I.M.C.A. Sunoco Stock Car drivers this season.
The top five eligible drivers in the 2002 point standings will earn shares of $1,500 in cash prizes, with $500 going to the top competitor.
Second pays $400, third $300, fourth $200 and fifth is good for $100.
Bushore, located in Boone, Iowa, manufac-tures complete powerglide transmissions and parts, and also sells a vari-ety of racing components. Drivers must compete with a Bushore transmission to be eli-gible.
"Owner Bill Bushore has been a strong supporter of our Stock Car division for as long as I can remember. Bushore Racing Enterprises will continue to give away cash prizes to I.M.C.A. Stock Car drivers at the end of the season," I.M.C.A. Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. "Bushore's dedication to making sure drivers not only receive contingency awards, but quality transmissions as well, is one of the reasons our Stock Car division continues to grow in popularity."
Bushore had the same contingency program for the I.M.C.A. Sunoco Stock Cars for 2000, giving awards based on top regional finishes last season.
