I AM MAKING SOME MAJOR CHANGES TO MY CAR AND HAD A THOUGHT THAT IS EITHER GENIOUS OR STUPIDITY. I HAD PROBLEMS DRAWING DOWN MY BATTERY SO I HAD TO ADD AND ALTENATOR. BUT AM CONSIDERING USING TWO BATTERIES. PRESENT BATERY IS LOCATED OVER REAR AXEL AND HAVE ROOM TO MOUNT 2. RIGHT NOW I HAVE 30 LB'S OF WEIGHTS IN THIS LOCATION. QUESTION IS AM I STUPID OR WOULD THIS WORK EXTREAMLY WELL. WIFE SAYS IF WOULD WORK EVERYONE WOULD BE DOING IT.

If you are running a HEI ignition, you are better off running an altenator. The HEI works better at 13.8 to 14.2 volts that the altenator produces. The two batteries only give you 12.5 volts at best and weigh more.
