I found a 78 Z28 tonight, it is supposed to have a 373 possi. I jack the car up ( no tag on the housing ) marked the tire and drive shaft turn the tire 3 full rotations and the drive shaft turned 3 and 3/4 turns. I knows there is a way to figure the gears by doing this but cant remember how. ANYOne know? Also when turning the right wheel forward the left wheel turned backwards but not if you held the left wheel. possi or not? thank for any help on this.

If one tire turns backwards or you can hold it still,it's not a posi. You count how many times the drive shaft turns to one complete turn of the tire

That would be 1 turn of the tire and 1 and 1/4 turns of the drive shaft. What gear ratio would that be? Thanks.
