Has any put Pinto spindles on a 70-81 Camaro? If you have what length upper control arms did you use? Can you use the stock upper control arm mounts on the frame? Speedway makes tubular upper control arms to fit the stock mounts. Do they make arms that will work with Pinto spindles? Can anyone help? A friend uses Pinto spindles on a metric framed modified with Camaro style lower control arm. They bend the steering arm on the spindle to correct the geometry and use spacers on the tie rod heims.

They are too short and your roll center will be too low. No camber gain either.

JMHO

Good luck,

OK, this bizness with Camaro lowers on a Metric chassis has me boogered. Never seen it done without alot of modification. Come to think of it, never seen it done, period. Have seen Pinto spindles and Granada hubs on a Camaro, tho(on dirt). Bad fast!!! They do make raised roll center ball joints and bump steer adaptors for those who love to experiment.

Yes you can do it and I run it. I have held fast time and sat on the pole for the MidAmerica Street Stock Championship in Batesville. Flexiflyer sells everything you need. www.flexiflyer.com However do not ever, ever, ever, ever bend a pinto spindle with heat and it will NEVER break or bend. Space it down with adapters from Flexeflyer or Speedway.
