TCI got me confused re converters. I told them we were foot braking (stalling) up to
3200 rpms on takeoffs to stay up w/stick boys but I dont think he understands thats also where our pwrband is strongest. he wanted me to go with a nostall to prevent slippage but said I would have to just floor it on takeoff. I think lag would cost me everytime. Can you guys help?

Yeah, get a different cam. The stick guys are beating you on restarts because they are in their powerband. An empty dummy convereter is always faster, in the right "hands".

ok i have a question. I run a bomber car with a 355 chevy with a t-350 trans, all stock trans. How would a stall convertor help me or would it? Also what about a 'dummy' convertor? I do realize it would lighten up my rotating assembly a lot therefore making it shut down and acclerate fast. but what other benefit is there and also we cant run a pedal , it has to be stock appearing. In other words, what can/ should i do to lighten up the trans rotating assembly? Keep in mind we run a short (very) 1/4 mile red clay track! thanks in advance.

do like some of the others over there put a hand valve in on the right side of the drivers seat down low and when you take off ease the valve shut once you get rolling shut it off when your in the pits or sitting in line throw your gloves over it

I disagree w/change stick my pwr band works better in mid4 to mid sixes than any of theirs. I consistently run with them on straights and pull them on turns b/c of cam
setup. dummy conv. is great except gettin busted or havin to lay out of big races(against rules). I've heard of new pwr valves
that negate need for lines or pedals . but only for pwr glides. aany one heard of such for 350 trans.

I may be chasing ghost too. Actually I only feel that we are leaving hspwr on table b/c everyone talks about slippage and 15 to 25 hspwr lost. we are only using a 60 buck rebuild t/c off shelf. Not trying to argue
just fishin for good honest opinions. thnks guys for input so far
