just built a new 84 camero 5/16 dirt car, and pulled the original front clip and put in my old 81 camero front clip with a little modifieing, and put a ford 9" in the rear with coils. I have a 1100 rf, 900 lf, and 175 rr and 200 lr. Anyone running this setup or car or have any other numbers or combos, I won't get to race till march. I ran 88 tires except a 90 rr. 77 carrera shock on rf and 76's on the others

thanks for reply and if you find a combination that seems to work let me know. our track is usually rough and dry at the nights end and our car seems to go away. Help

spanky 43 your car needs to be set up just like a 80 camaro since thats your clip, it should be super easy to make that car rock, considering your useing a 101 wheel base and a 3 link rear supension....

is your panhard adjustable

what did you do for a 3rd link?? it was mounted on the tranny?? now where is it??

if that car were legal anywhere near me id build one, whats your weight got to be??

i run a saginaw 3 speed in 2nd with 4.56 posi in the 9". tranny is steel mounted in modified crossmember and the panard bar we use is adjustable, with 9" free height (to lower back of car), one end pigtail 5 1/2" OD stock appearring coils at 250 lb rate on lr and 200 lb rate on rr. I use carrera II street stock shocks at 50/50 valved 265# dampening on rear stock locations. I run a 92" hoosier with 8 1/2 lbs in rr and 88"-10lb in lr. car with driver weighs 3185. Driver weighs 170. car must weigh 3000

Spanky i have a buddy who had a 85 Camaro that he put an 81 front clip under and stretched the car to almost a 108 in wheelbase. Dont know the set up but can tell you the car was wicked fast. Goodluck Eddie
