How much rear end lube can I expect to put in a Ford 9" taking into consideration the overfill required for circle track racing?

do you have inner seals in your 9" to keep the oil in the center section? if you don't 4 quarts will do the trick.

I bought a few quarts of Royal Purple 75W90 gear oil for my spooled rear end. The bottles state that it is good for limited slip differentials. Is this lube going to work OK with the spool and 6.20 gears?

you're in good shape rangerover. there is an additive in the gear oil for use with clutch type differentials. it won't hurt your locked rearend.
