THE NEW RULES CAME OUT FOR MY CLASS FOR
2003 AT MY TRACK.
ONE OF THE RULES SAYS NO MACHINING ON
THE INTAKE OR INTAKE SIDE OF HEAD.
I BOUGHT MY HEADS USED.
HOW DO I TELL IF THEY HAVE BEEN MACHINED
ON THE INTAKE SIDE?

I think they don't want the heads angle milled. That makes the chamber smaller and raises the compression ratio. I'd put the heads on the block with a couple of bolts and if the intake goes on without gaps at the heads, you should be ok.. Hope this helps.

they are tiring to keep you from hogging out the heads if you get another set of stock untouched heads then look at yours and you could see a difference also feal inside the runners should be smoother if they have been ported

just for an instance, lets say these heads
are machined on the intake side(not ported)
how whould the inspector check it?

I think loojack was pointing you in the right direction by mentioning "angle-milling"
Your rule appears to be in place to keep you from changing the angles of your intake ports in relation to the cylinder. Refining these angles can lead to serious power improvements. Most chevy heads and intakes are machined at 23 degrees, by milling the heads, this can be changed to 18 degree (NASCAR standard. Just about any tech inspector should be able to notice the difference between a 23 degree motor and the other. The easiest way to tell is that the angle of the valve covers make the motor look wider. I seriously doubt you have an 18 degree motor, but just to check, stick another intake on the motor and see if it fits.
However, if all they're concerned with is port matching the intake and the heads, I wouldn't worry about that unless someone contests you. (Hope you don't have too many enemies).
