Just wondering! I never hear a peep about that class. Hey jammin maybe this class could replace the cruiser slot on this board.

Has anyone race a small chevy v-8 with that 350cfm 2 barrell with those bigger v-8. I was just wondering with the carb restriction could you actually be faster (set-ups being equal).

I've seen it work that way with a buddy's late-model. Not necessarily with carb sizes, but with engine power. He was running a motor he built himself, probably 500 HP or so, then he picked up a real nasty one that dyno'd at over 800. He still hasn't run a lap that was as fast as his old motor, but the catch is that engine power will GREATLY affect saying "having the same setups" will really never work.

just cause it is bigger dosent mean its better. UDTRA used to have weight brakes for the small block latemodels compared to the big block latemodels. UDTRA got rid of the rules because the small block cars started winning. if you have too much power and not enough tire your gonna spin the tires getting on the gas out of the turn but with a smaller motor your car will hook better and the same set ups with the 2 diffrent motor combos will never work because you got to tune the car to how much power you have.

"there is no replacement for displacement"
this is true with 350cfm and any other cfm.

The SIMS Limiteds were exciting to watch at
85 Speedway tonite! Two flips before they
completed the first lap.
