We had quick steer in the car that I will be runnin next season. I don't understand much about it so if you would, please help me to understand if it is good or just one more thing to mess up.

I would say it's definitly a good thing to have. I've never had any trouble out of one.I've heard of home made ones breaking before though.

I'm not lyin' here, 1/2 second per lap quicker with a quick steer. Just give yourself time to adjust. You'll notice the difference just loading it on the trailer!
