i started a thread a while back with this same subject and got some mixed opinions. one guy said i was a cheater for wanting to run a 99" mustang against 108" metrics and others were sympathetic to my plight.

the car is approved for our rules next season along with the 101" firebirds and camaros. in my opinion, this is where street stock racing is going guys.

it's about time that a promoter wrote a rule that didn't make running a ford either illegal or a handicap.

check out my new website. it's not much, but i'm still working on it.

I don't see where that would be cheating at all. I think that it is good that they did right the rules like that. Maybe that will get more ford race cars in there and get a little more varity instead of camaros everywhere you turn.
Good luck next season with the stang.

i agree totally hoosier. with the 108" minimum wheelbase that most tracks use, it makes running a ford a big disadvantage. 83-88 t-birds are 104". mustangs are 99". fairmonts are 106". nobody ever has a problem when you show up in a 114" torino or a big ole crown victoria.

before anyone says, "why don't you shorten the crown vic frame", the rules say that you can't do that.
