Ok, we are planning on running stock rubber motor mounts that bolt to the frame. However, the Upper mounts (the part that bolts to the that what these are called?) we have are wrong. Are there any mounts you can buy to replace these that work with stock lower mounts? I'm in a bind. I need these soon to be able to locate the tranny. Thanks.

just go to the junk yard and get the whole setup off any car that had a chevy v8 stay away from truck and van stuff they are a little taller. i got mine off a nova for my metric car

Yeah, I know that's an option, but right now it is about 35 degrees and raining out, so it would be worth some $$$ to me to just buy some somewhere...I picked up a set at the local race shop, but he didn't know if they would work with the stock lowers. I guess I will see tonight. I guess if they don't work I will just make some solid lowers and get it over with. Heck, I might do that anyway. **** weather...@$%@#$%

hey , how's it going/ i went through this last year and learned a few things. the way i ended up with was the afco solid plate mounts and i had to fabricate the towers on the frame. depending on your setback,the bolts can be hard to get to,the header comes into play, but they sure are easier to change the i believe the solid mounts help with transferring torque.

Someone PLEASE check me on this!!! I THINK that the tubeular stands for the solid mounts need to be 20 3/8" apart and if you lay a straight edge across them there needs to be 9" clearance above the crossmember. The first problem you'll encounter when setting the motor back is the fuel pump not clearing the crossmember. Then if you've got to run a stock firewall, get out the BFH, and the driveshaft will have to be shortened.
