My boyfriend is planning to relocate from central Illinois to Alberta,Canada.Would like to know if anyone has any information on dirt tracks located in Alberta and if so,what information can anyone provide as far as rules or weblinks to gain more information on this.
He currently just finished racing street stock class in central illinois with a 3000 lb weight rule.Runs 358 chevy,2-spd.powerglide,weight jacks, full cage,etc..... would like to know how many changes he'd have to make to compete in Alberta,Canada.

What part of Alberta? it is a big province. As far as dirt track racing goes in the central/nothern part for street stock there are 5 tracks that I know of. Sangudo Speedway,(in Sangudo) usually run 4-5 weekends per year. Bud Park Speedway in Edmonton run street stock type races at least every other weekend. Rapidfire Raceway in Drayton Valley, run a few events each year. Hinton Speedway (in Hinton) they only had one event this year, but things are looking up for next year. And a new track near Sedgewick they are just getting going haven't been there yet. I believe there are a few more tracks in the southern part of the province as well.
Email me at rwilde@albertanewsprint.com and I can send you a copy of the budpark rules and the Sanguodo rules. We are working on trying to get a ONE set of rules for all the tracks and are really close to making it happen.
I hope you like snow, cause its snowin' here today!!!!
