i need some new hubr next year for my stockcar and i was wondering if all floater housings can use any hubs or are some housings different than others? i have a coleman housing with coleman hubs but i really like the setup winters has in the speedway catalog. thanks forany help.

it depends on what tube snout your rearend uses. there are basically 3 types of tube snouts. grand national 5x5, wide 5 and mini 5. the most common is grand national 5x5. if your bolt pattern is 5x4.5 or 5x4.75, then you have the mini 5 snout. wide 5 uses wide 5 hubs and wheels. if your bolt pattern is 5x5, then you have the grand national snout, the most common. i believe that all brands of hubs are interchangable as long as the tube snouts are matched to the hub being used. ask the rep at speedway to be sure.

I have a 5X5" bolt pattern, with Coleman hubs on a mini-5 snout.

istock59...yeah, thats possible. i don't think that you can have the smaller 4 3/4" or 4 1/2" bolt circle on the GN hub though. the GN hub is too large for the smaller bolt patterns.

i must have the mini 5 cause i run he 4.75 bolt pattern. thanks for the info
