Hey guys, which steering box is a good wrecking yard choice to replace the steering box in a '77 Nova with for quicker steering? I think I read somewhere to use an '86 IROC Camaro, but I don't usually mess with cars that "new" so I don't even know what will fit. Thanks.

look for any Gm box 69-80 with a blue dot on the top of the 4 bolt cover this is a 3 turn lock to lock. the iroc box is a metric fitting box. and it's 85 and up iroc and trans am.

Range I put one of the late model camaro boxes on a 76 malibu it made a big difference from the stock box. The new boxes use an o-ring fitting so you need to have new hoses made or you can get inserts from Lee Manufacturingto convert o-ring to flare. I chose the inserts and have no problems. I was told they have 3 versions of those boxes but if you get one off a car with 16" wheels they should be the fastest ratio.
