here is my current setup
lf 900 rf 1100
lr 200 rr 175
50/50 shocks all the way around, car weighs 3250 with me in it
i have 30 pounds more on the left front and usually run 50lb left rear for the heat, 75 for the feature.
tire pres lf 15 rf 17
lr 8 heat. 10 feature rr 12
we run asphalt pulloffs with 0 stager( have heard that stagger gets you in and wedge gets you off.
before i went to the track i had 51.5 left, 51.2 rear and 50.3 cross. i had 55lb mounted shoulder height bohind the driver and 55 lb on the rear bumper.
during the heat race i would have to chase the rear through the turn, so for the feature i took 55lb off the rear bumper and put a 33lb weight 1 foot behind the left rear. on the scales with the 55lb on the bumper this gave me 20lb more left rear and helped the rear percentage .5, this changed helped me not have to chase the rear, but i am afraid it might have hurt the rear percentage. in both the heat and the feature i was a little too loose coming off, it started 3/4 through the turn. i want to get the car hooking and get it were i can drive down under someone coming off the turn. i have tried 54 rear percentage earlier in the year but i had to sling the car to get it to turn and once i set it up i had to stay in the same line. if i tried to drive down under someone i would spin out, but the car was a rocket off the corner, i have also tried alot of left rear( 200lb) but this made the car push up the hill and i would be too high (in the loose stuff) and get loose coming off. the track held good moisture tonight, i hate to see how bad i would spin if it had been dry. i have heard that i needed more left front split? i have always heard that wedge(more left rear) gets you off the turn. i think i need to put another 55lb low on the left side behind the driver. i don't know about more left rear, the car get into and through the corner perfectly. i can't get the car back on the scales until wed or i would tell you where it was during the feature. i have head expierence with easy up rf and hold down lf shocks but the didn't affect my 3250lb car that much. if somebody thinks they will really help i will buy some. i was also told that 2 900lb front springs would help slow the weight transfer to the left rear. do i need wedge, rear %, springs, shocks or a little of everything? the car was a sixth place car tonigt. help me please.

You are most likely a little tight on entry. Try for more like a 49 to 49.5 % cross. Create some stagger if possible as I am not familialer with the tires you are running.

Stagger in,,,wedge out is correct.

what kind of track, 1/4 3/8s, banks. stagger. we run 1/4 dirt bullring all new tires go to the RR. it will give us 1/2 1- 1/2 stagger. if it,s wet more stagger and less air , dry less stagger and more air. play the game who races before you wingless sprints late in the nite or frist? does the track dry fast, hold moisture? you are running what we do.

it is a 3/8 med banked track that usually hold moisture. i got to scale the car early so here are the figures with 55lb behind the driver and 33lb behind the lr tire:
total weight 3147, lf 781, lr 836, rf 780, rr 750. left % 51.4 ( i would like to get it to 53), rear% 50.4, cross% 51.4( i think this is too high, as someone already posted). air pressure lf 16, lr 10, rf 17, rr 12.wheel offset lf 3, lr 3, rf 4, rr 4, the right rear is out 1/2 inch measured at the bottom, the left rear is out 2 inches. i would like to get the cross down to 49.5%, the left side up to 53%, and rear around 52%. does this sound right? if so how can i get this done? how much weight will a 1000 rf spring help with the cross (it isn't close to bottoming out). should i put the weight behind the driver? high or low? we run adjustable spring cups up front so i can make wedge adjustments fairly easily. i am new to setting up a car so give me any suggestions. thanks, tim

That setup doesn't sound too far off to me......If you take some wedge out sometimes on a tacky track, it can help give you more sidebite and get you thru the corners a little better.

You should check to see if your right rear end axle tube is hitting the frame, I had the same problem and that's what it was. I just to some lowering block out to get more clearance and it cured the problem. Make sure you take an equal amount out of both side so you won't mess up you cross weight.
