Hopefully this hasn't been discussed lately and I missed it, but are there plans to hold a full day practice next spring like there was this year before it got rained out? If so is there any way of pursuading the sponsors and track to have a rain date set up for the weekend after the schelduled practice for situations such as what happened this year? I think it was great to cancel it with as much advance notice as was done rather than waiting until the last minute, but it would be nice to have a fall-back date, preferrably the next weekend, so that it doesn't get cancelled all together again.

Anyways, was just hoping that the plans were already somewhere in the depths of Jammin's mind and that there could hopefully be something happen just before next season.

There are plans, as far as the fallback date in the spring, we were trying to get it in before the tracks got going. But a lot of the tracks here started racing that weekend. We are still looking at this, but if we have a fall practice, then many of the guys will have their cars apart. I would be interested in hearing everyone's opinion on this. We do still want to do this, but we are having to look at the overall picture. I think that the practice needs to be early in the spring, to shake bugs out in the cars for the season, but I am not sure how early we can get away with having it. Listening...

I definately think the spring timing is best simply because of the changes made during off-season and the amount of people who build completely new cars over the winter. If I remember correctly, the scheduled date of this years test was several weeks before our track here opened (Mid-America at South Coffeyville, OK... extreme NE OK). I'm sure that there's other centrally located tracks that open kind of late as well, so if you need others tracks to investigate just holler and some of us can check around for ya.

I also enjoyed the thought of it being an ALL DAY practice. There are things I want to try that simply can't be done at a 3 hour practice and still get the basics all covered. (I like experimenting )

Anyways, it's nice to know that there are at least some initial thoughts on trying it again.

How about a place a bit closer for us North East guys, Id go as far south as North Carolina, and as far west as Ohio, but OK is a bit to far.

I have been thinking about the placements, I think we are going to have to alternate yearly with some different tracks for everyone, to be able to participate. Missouri is about as centralized nationally as you are going to get, but I understand everyone doesn't want to drive 20 hours for one day of practice. Keep the input coming!
