Too much gear or not enough rear percentage are a couple of suggestions. Could you post some info on your car. Then maybe we could help ya out a little more. Thanks.

my percentages was 56 front 44 rear but i added some weight in the rear & took some out of front waiting on scales to get free so i can check again, some people say that if ts spinning too much to put a lower gear your thoughts on that??

More rear percentage or HIGHER gears (lower numerically). You want to put that power to the ground, so I'd try more rear weight.

definitely more rear weight. I would try to get 52-53% minimum maybe more if you can.

I went from 46% to 49.2% Rear weight and it made a world of difference. My car pick-up an easy 1/10 second on lap time. I added 120lbs at the rear bumper, put aluminum intake and a few other things to get this. I am looking for more things in the front to lightweight and stuff i can move to the rear. I would like to get to 52% but that would require engine setback...which is illegal.

What kind of car/class is this? If you can add weight why not lighten the front end and keep adding lead to the rear?

I know some people dont like to weigh heavy because it slows them down but there are times where you can be heavy and be faster because the car works better and on dry slick you can get more power to the ground. I have seen some street stock cars with 2-300# bolted into the trunk.

a taller gear (lower #) will give you more wheel speed at a given rpm. if you got enough motor to break the tires loose a taller gear will spin the wheels more. I'm sure I'll get a response to that, but try a hole shot with a truck in granny gear and then try it in 2nd gear.

i agree that a higher gear ratio will spin more once it breaks loose i have plenty enough motor to break it loose i took 100psi out of front of car and moved the eng. back 3+ in. im going to try that and see if it helps i also am running a 514 gear but i bought a 614 and i am going to put it in there next week im going to try the setup now first and see how it does first

put more LR bite in the car to tighten it up coming off. Easy way to do it without adding lead to the LR is to shim the RF spring.
