I have a powerglide tranny, should i take out the module and replace it with a plug or should i just put a plug on the module itself thanks Eddie

i just put a cap over mine on a t-350 don't think a glide would be much diferent

as long as your modulator valve is not leaking just unplug the vacume line from the valve and the engine and only plug the vacume source at the intake manifold.this way you will be able to tell if a leak develops at the valve.
disconnecting it increases the transmission operating pressures to keep gears engaged,it also increases trans operating temeratures due to greater pressures so a quality tranny cooler is highly reccommended.

Do not remove the vacumm modulator valve. It is the only thing that holds the valve in the tranny all the way in, if you replace it with a plug it has to be tight against the valve in the valve body or you will loose pressure. unplug it and leave it.
