I have a 76 monte Carlo with a completely stock suspension. My question is what exactly does the sway bar due ? Is there anyway for the sway bar to be used as a set-up adjustment?

I think it depends on the driver. We have tried to get our car to work without one, with no luck. I called my spring company and told them I run 1000 LF, 1200 RF, 225 LR, 275 RR. He said that sounds right. Then I told him I have no sway bar and he about jumped through the phone. THERE'S THE PROBLEM he said. If your not running a sway bar you will need to increase the front roll stiffness another way. The front controls most of the roll. We added the sway bar and WOW, now the thing will go around the corner without spinning. To be fast your foot has to be on the gas as much as possible, even in the corners.
