Has anyone heard of using dish soap in the radiator to keep the temperature down?

We add a little bit to our coolant. They say it helps cool by "breaking up surface tension in the block". I can't say that I've noticed any difference, but it's so cheap and easy that we always do it anyway. It can't hurt.

Yes you can add a few drops of dish soap like dawn to your water if you want. It is the same theory that water wetter and purple ice, etc. is based on.

I would be careful and not get to much in their though or it might foam and get sudsy.

If nothing else you'll have a clean block.
