I am helping one of my chevy buddies install race shocks on the front suspension of his metric. We will use Monroe SSG121's and need some mounting tips as there seems to be no room in front of the a-arms or behind. We are just finishing building the car. It has impala spindles and weight jacks.

I mount mine on the front of the lower A-frame. I have just enough clearance to make it work.

I use Pro WB's, but there's room on top of the front of the lower A-arm. However you need to use aftermarket shock mounts.

On another car, I put bolts on the front of the lowers and up to the cage.

we cut the upper a arms in the center almost to the ball joint and run the shock threw it
we attach to the lower and to the cage. this alows us to run a 9" shock
