Can I straighten my lowers a little bit and still get my lateral stability from my uppers. And would it help the geometry of the stock 4 link.

Sure can!! Wont change a thing unless you change the up/down angle. With the rear out you can move stock lowers 6" at least side to side. Ive seen guys not even change the frame brackt to match the diff bracket and they work just fine. Mine, Id at least hammer the frame mounts to match the rears, to fix the bind in the bushings!! Id than throw a brace or a few gussets on the frame mount, to make it stronger..
