hello evey one need some help. last year i ran a 1.52x 4.56=6.93 with a 355 in my 3400# monte Carlo.and it was not to bad all the way around. was just lacking the power. this year same car but a powerhouse 383 13.1 750 carb. cam 2500 to 6500 .i am running a 1.68 2and gear in a 3 speed. x my 4.56 ford 9"=7.6 with 92" tires 1100/29/15 with 2" to 3" of stager. my car is loose from 3/4 out of exit i have been told to ease on the gas.hard for me to do know what i mean. rpms are 6400 to 6700 motor builder said to run it around 6000 to 6500 i am thinking of getting a 7.00 gear or 7.16 or 7.33 so that i can run high gear with all trannys.and maybe a little more power to the ground.we race on 1/4 and 1/3 mile race tracks .and i am running 6700 on the 1/4 mile i need a gear so i can race both tracks. please help .thank you

Gonna be hard to run a 1/4 and a 1/3 with the same gear you you will suffer one place or the other you almost have to set up for the 1/3 but I would be aware that lugging a motor hurts it sometimes JMO

you may want to try a vac secondary and adjust it to open where you need it I would try and borrow one and try it but this is a pretty good system for dry slick

I always have run either a 688 or as close as I could I would thinkk that a 750 is too low 700 may be OK sometimes you just have to try diifferent gears
