We are running a 9" ford rear with a spool. We keep breaking the caps. 3 times now. The last 2 rears were purchased set up by the manufacturer. Any thoughts on what is causing this are most welcome. Thanks for any help. Going Rear End Broke Rich

Does your track have really tight turns? Who made the rear end?

this is just for info are you sure that you have the right bolts /washers and the torque is right usaully if it is a prob with the stagger or too much bite it will get the axles I would look at the housing itself it sounda as if your getting a sudden bind of some sort involving the pinion JMHO

It is a tight 1/4 Dont hae the makers name with me at the puter but it came from wisconsin. Our pinion angle is well within the manufacturers specs. Really weird. Our 633 is ok. As soon as we try to go to the 650 BANG! We even had the thing sent to us ready to race set up by the makers. Pinion angle the same as in the 633. We are really getting pod cause we need the 650 to run up front. Thanks to everybody for the input.
