Can anyone tell me what free height springs should be on a hobbystock? Last year the car looked like a four wheel drive. I noticed that the other hobbys sit down quite a bit more than my car did.

most likely they were running racing springs, they have as much or more tension as a stock vehicle spring, but they are shorter, thus the car sits lower. All the racing magezines have spring manufacturers in them and I wouldn't say who is best but look at your rules and see if you have to have "stock appearing springs" or what. I do advise racing springs though, its easier to get the car dialed in.
By the way, this is the parts mart, You will have better luck with questions like this on the "Street Stock Tech" section.
