does anyone know where or if i can get exended dowels for my block ... to line up my glide through my mid mounts the dowels arent long enough with my plates on any help would be greatly appreciated

Try cutting the head off of two long bolts, hack saw a screwdriver slot in the end. Use these to get close and then remove them for regular bolts for final assembly.

Hate to disagree with you sleepy but this is important. Alignment is very important and you should always use dowel pins! Any of the speed shops should have extended dowels. JR, Midwest, Summit etc or call Bill Bushore @ 515-432-8130.

I forgot to mention that you have to run a converter extension kit with a motor plate or rear mounts. Otherwise the converter hub does not have a hole to line up to. you should only have 1/16 to 3/16 inch space between converter pads and flex plate after the tranny is bolted up.

thanx guys but i used some steel dowel rod , machined it to the right diameter and BAM motor and tranny is in and car will rumble tommorrow!!! oh the JOY!!!!!!
