I read your build-up of the IMCA Stocker. Got two questions for ya---Why did you put the fuel cell all the way back? Once it's past the rear axle centerline--does it change any percentages? And what ever happened to that car? If I remember correctly there was to be a female driver..how'd that turn out?

First the fuel cell. Yes the further back you put weight the more the weight percentage changes. This is known as leverage. I know there has been discussion about the pendelum effect but on this size car it doesn't amount to much. A short light sprint car with a 40 gallon tank might be different.

I have the car. It is fast. We just didn't have the opportunity to race much last year. I think this year will be better.

The car was usually driven by Martha McManus, my daughter. She is good but certainly not in the Earnhardt class. Since we don't try to run for points, we visit different tracks. We sometimes have a guest driver. This might be someone from the magazine or one of the advertisers. I'm going to try to get one of the local tv newscasters in the car this year. Since I built it, I figure they can't tear up anything I can't fix.

Thanks for the inquiry, SLEEPY
