posted March 08, 2002 09:35 PM rear disc brake question....I have three sets of rotors for a Ford 9 inch...one is a solid disc the other is a vented rotor with a composite center...the third rotor is for a Lincoln. The question is if I use the solid disc would it take the punishment or would the rotor with the composite center hold up to the heat?

Like in anothe section of the forum, if this is a street stock, composite is probably illegal on the car. Other than that, I would use the lightest one, heat shouldn't be that big of a problem, are you on asphalt or dirt? hopfully you don't ride the brakes, right

posted March 18, 2002 08:28 PM thanks uforracing51.. yes it is a street stock and it is on dirt...I ran a set of hawk racing brakes last year. I got the rotors pretty hot. I was just curious about it because I am going to run hawk brakes again this year.
