Randy, I have SAFETY concers about the weight under your seat. Is this weight attached to your seatbar? If so,should you be in a crash, this thing is going to weigh a ton. GET IT OUT !!!!!!!!!! RIGHT NOW!!!!!!
If it is bolted to the floor board,You still need to get it out.I would not trust the thin floorboard metal to hold it in a crash.
A better position would be inside the left frame rails. Should you need the weight, you could cut it up,weld and bolt it in the frame rail.
About weight in general, You should be at minimum weight. Your weight percentages should be 52-54 % rear and left. That will get you in the ball park. Your cross should be within 2% of rear weight.
Although I doubt if you are at that point right now, Yes, it is possible to have too much left side weight. The car would tend to skate. You would not transfer enough to the right side tires to maximize your grip. If you run extreme left weight, after you spin out, the car just may roll over on its top.
About that weight under your seat, I urge you to take that thing out........... BE SAFE and Good Luck.
