My son and I race a TQ Midget. so we understand the Open Wheen Chassis Set ups. A friend has asked us to help him set up his Street Stock. I know very little about the adjustments on a Street Stock, only the theory. (He will be racing on a 1/4 mile banked dirt track) What should be the rear wheel weight percentages. How to adjust the leaf springs??? The front weight percentages, how to adjust the front coil springs??? What is a good starting point to set the car up??? On the real leaf spring there are 6 adjustment holes. Should the left spring be in a hole lower than the right side??? I'm lost here. Really need some help. Thanks ~ Bill ~

Bill, you could get pages of good advice here, but the easiest and quickest way to get you up to speed would be to order yourself one of Steve Smith Autosports stock car set-up books. Seriously, reading those books made a big difference for me when I was starting out and I'm sure they helped many other racers as well. I still sometimes go back to them as good references. You'll find the ads in just about any racing magazine.
