I have heard that the camaro has some of the best stock geometry out there. One thing that I noticed was that the stock pitman arm is about 3/4 of an inch longer than the idler arm. Is this ok???. If not, what kind of issues will this condition create.

None, I can think of as the intermediate link that connects idler/pitman compensates for that

this is why so many racers like the camaros and firebirds for stock cars. the subframes make a great stub for super stocks. there was an article in circle track magazine some time ago about the best steering stuff. I wish I could remember when it was published, but camaro stuff dominated the article.
