it depends if you want a floater or just a stock and how much money you want to spend..speedway has them for a decent price or you can to your local junk yard to get one..just measure between the centering bolts on the springs

I have one out of a 73 ford truck, not sure if it would be better to have it redone or buy one already set up. Whats your opinion?

if you can weld your own brackets on just make sure the housing won't be to wide unless you want to run offset wheels to make up for it. if you look at it a parts house will charge you an amy and a leg for the housing witch you can do yourself. myself i would hit a few swap meets and see what i can find might be able to pick one up with a gear at a good price

I was able to get a 9" with disk brakes just not a floater out of a 74 or 75 Linchon Mark 8. All the measurements matched my Chevy rearend and bolted right in.
