Hi i'm thinking about getting into a hobby and our rules say you can't run a quick steer and i have driven my dads mod i was woundering if it was that noticable thanks

IMO, yes, it makes a big difference. I switched from a 1.5 to a 2.0 ratio quicksteer last year. Much better.

If you can't run one, get the fastest box you can find. Some Z28s and T/As had quicker ratios.

I run an 80's Z28 box. Its 2-1/4 turns from lock to lock instead of 3 turns for a regular metric box and it bolts right up.

There are some new boxes availible with faster ratios,but they are expensive.I think AFCO and Stock Car Products have them.However you go about it,get some quick steer.If it saves you one spin out and crash,(and it will),money well spent.
