hi i have a 70s chevelle frame with a 10 point cage i found the car one day in a old barn looks like and old mod or ive been told and old hobbystock any way it has eight lug wheels looks like a dana rear(leaf) end and has chain stering with a 88 style camaro body i have also came across a 88 iroc my qes is would i be better off (or could i) use the front end off the iroc? the chevelle frame is pretty solid looks like it was build correcly i just dont think my rules will allow eight lug i can find 5 lug axles for the rear end (looks like a truck rear end) but was wondering if the disk brakes and a arm system will work on the chevelle or could i cut the front off the iroc and put it on the chevelle? sounds crazy i know but ive herd of stranger things i really like the way this car looks (cage and the way the rear end works) just hope i can get the front lined out thanks for any help this place is great to have !!!

what you have is an old sportsman from the 70's or early eighties like what was popular here in iowa before what is now known as late models. it was popular to use 8 lug truck rearends and front hubs. i think the best thing to do is lose the big heavy rearend, change to nine inch ford. get the 81 up impal front spindles and the afco balljoints for the front. also use the stock 5x5 impal 12 inch rotors. hope this helps
