Alright, its new motor time and I have a few options I want to bounce off you guys. I have some '64 double hump heads I've been using for the past 3 years and I'm ready to make a change. How do Sportsman Dart II heads compare to late model Vortec heads? Has anyone used these on a race motor? If so, what manifold, valve springs and cam did you use? I will be using a 700 Holley double pumper, a single plain manifold and solid lifter cam. Has anyone tried this set-up?

I also have the option of port and polishing my existing heads, but I'd like to save them for a street car.

Thanks

Vortec's are like 180cc runners and and require different Intake Bolt angle. Dart Iron eales are available in different runner sizes as well as valve sizes. The World Products sportsman II's are 200'cc's as well. I have both Dart's and Wp's 200cc's 64cc chambers straight plug heads 2.02 valves for sale. Fully assembled new in the boxes. 750 for each set. I need to sell, no longer racing class I purchased them for. These heads have never been used or torqued down, brand new.

I've always heard that if you can run the aftermarket heads to go that route. We have to run production heads and from my experience, the vortecs are darn impressive.
