have any of you guys ended up changing cams for this carb?we just seem dead on the starts with the same system as last year.we are thinking of going with a smaller cam,which will have more torque.any ideas are apreciated,thank you.

Yeah, most guys are finding the power by changing cams, but there are several things that will help, regardless of what has or hasn't been done to the carb itself.
One thing is the KP Torque Sleeves that aid in improving air flow into the intake.
There are, tho, several options with cams that work very well at re-gaining much of the lost power from the new carb rule. Lunati makes a good one, for example, and JR Motorsports has one that is fairly good also.
