hello all I am a first year racer and am trying to gather information on shocks. Information like what softer and stiffer shocks will do to the set up of the car and possible a good starting point for my setup. I run at a 1/4 track with a good amount of banking. Any info on this would be great or possibly a web site where I can read more about this subject. Thanks

Shocks are to control spring action mostly, but you can also use them to create a momentary action on body roll and weight transfer. A stiff shock will react slower than a soft shock and vice versa.
A good basic starting point for set up would be: 52-54% left side weight
52-54% rear weight
49-50% cross weight
Front springs: 1200 RF 1000 LF
Rear springs: coil- 250 RR 300 LR
leaf- 150 RR 200 LR
