what master cylinders are people running with 4-wheel disk set ups. we have to run a stock master cylinder. does it have to be for four wheel disks? or can it be disk/drum. any help would be great.

We'll need to hear from someone who knows, but I'd suspect you won't get enough fluid volume for a disc with an M/C designed to operate a little wheel cylinder.
Line pressures are different too but I don't know which type has more or less.

I run a corvette master cylinder which is was set up for four-wheel disc brakes. I believe it was a 74 or 75 Stingray. You want to run the same size lines for front and rear brakes.

Pickel is correct. all the gys I now running 4 wheel disc use a mid 70's vette master cylinder.
